Indian Pond Country Club wedding in Kingston, MA | Dorice + Milord

What a way to kick off the season. Dorice and Milord’s (or Milo as she calls him) big day was beautiful in every way. I asked Dorice for one of the many reasons why they work so well together. She told me that “it’s because we are like ying and yang. He’s the romantic one and I’m the thinker.” I got a chance to see that romantic side of Milo when we started the day off with a surprise letter from him – the bridesmaids schemed to set up the letter surrounded by rose petals in the stairwell next door. Dorice knew something was going on but once she saw the letter, you could see the tears welling up. For the rest of prep time, anytime she felt like she was going to cry, she would tell her girls to talk about anything else BUT the wedding (which was hard since it was all they wanted to talk about!) Dorice’s mom helped her into her dress so she could surprise her girls and aunts with a ladies only first look.
After a beautiful ceremony at St. Peter’s Church, everyone was ready to rock the dance floor at the Indian Pond Country Club and their reception was full of surprises. First, Dorice’s sister sang for the mother daughter dance, then Dorice made a special entrane with her girls in a surprise reception outfit for Milo, and then to top it off, their friends and family surprised them with a flash mob!
As they all danced into the night, a line from her best friends speech stuck with me. She said: “Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere, they’re in each other all along”
