Andra and Mike both knew that they wanted to make their Endicott Estate wedding details very personal to them.

Sarah Basch at Without A Hitch beautifully planned this wedding – complete awesome little details that showed off their personalities – origami cranes, Japanese anime, turkey kegs, K-pop and more.  At their Endicott Estate wedding, the happy couple decorated with their own personal flair. They had giant peas in a pod from Toy Story 3 and photos of K-Pop band members. Andra foldeda beautiful wall of hanging origami cranes by herself! Boston Multicultural weddings are always full of fun details such as this. Instead of having a traditional guestbook, they had a Hello Kitty Polaroid camera, that their friends and family could photograph themselves with.

Anyone that knows Andra and Mike know that they have strong family values.

Andra did her own hair and makeup at home, with help from her mother and her closest and oldest friend. Andra’s mother made her wedding dress for her. It was gorgeous and perfect for their intimate Endicott Estate wedding. I loved the details of bows and lace. Her mother had also made Andra’s sister’s wedding dress. That’s two homemade bridal gowns! Color me impressed!

Andra and Mike’s wedding didn’t have too many typical wedding formalities. Instead, a close friend officiated a small ceremony. Afterwards, they hosted a relaxed reception. Just friends and family talking, and laughing, sharing in the happiness. I love getting to see the different choices people make, as a Boston Wedding Photographer, because it gives me small insights into couples’ personalities.

They both share an extreme love for food!

…especifically giant turkey legs!

B&M Catering provided delicious dinner for Andra and Mike’s Endicott Estate wedding. They had their cake cutting, after which they promptly and lovingly shoved small tarts and other desserts into each others faces. Both Andra and Mike also LOVE bubble tea (cold, never hot!).

The couple went to an arcade following the wedding reception.

No one was surprised 🙂 Andra and Mike make Boston Wedding Photography tons of fun! Thank you so much for having us, Andra and Mike!

Endicott Estate wedding – Some words from Andra and Mike:

I am so happy that we went with Karen at Promessa Studios for our wedding photos! Any reservations we might have had immediately vanished when we met Karen in person – it just clicked! And I knew she would be the perfect one to capture our wedding day.

On the day of our wedding, Karen and her second photographer (to our surprise and delight, Nicole) showed up ready to roll, and proceeded to smoothly and invisibly work themselves into every aspect of our day. We booked Karen for her photo-journalistic style, and she did a great job capturing the tiny candid moments that make weddings special. Since we felt so comfortable around her and Nicole, we had no problems relaxing and being ourselves, and it really comes through in the photos.

We also had a couple of oddities come up that Karen handled like a champ, namely that we had we had terrible, unseasonal weather (50s, raining… in May…), and also my MIL’s unbeknownst-to-me superstition about having portraits with only 3 people in them. They got some beautiful shots that took advantage of the gray lighting and even let us use their white lighting umbrella as a real umbrella in the rain. Furthermore, after the rain itself had cleared up, they managed to use some crazy photography magic to create some sunset shots, despite the fact that it was only 3pm and still super cloudy – MAGIC!

They also have super fast turn-around time – we go sent a very nice slideshow of highlights about 3 weeks after the wedding, and we got the full set a month+a week after the wedding. All of the shots look amazing, and they perfectly capture the wedding day as I remember it!

Overall, I could not be more pleased that I chose Karen to capture our day!
